The interior design of REWIND is an intoxicating fusion of old-world elegance and modern whimsy. A journey of time-travel that unfolds across a vast expanse of subterranean space, beginning with an unassuming staircase that leads patrons to a “speakeasy storage room” filled with a variety of relics from the past including an 80’ boombox, that when pressing the ‘rewind’ button, a hidden door is triggered, leading to a modern mixologist-lounge that is decorated with historical Chinese musical instruments and whimsical re-interpretations of Tang Dynasty artwork, a collection of antique chinese vessels, and ultimately another set of large wooden doors that lead to a deep red futuristic ‘worm-hole’ corridor with LED strip lighting, an energetic portal of time-travel leading to variety of bespoke karaoke rooms, each with a unique theme ranging from the Song Dynasty Art Room to the Retro Hong Kong Room with cinema themed decor paying homage to the rich history of Chines / HK cinema, to the contemporary Music Studio & Vinyl themed themed rooms.
REWIND immediately transports the patrons to another place & time through thoughtfully blurring the lines between Chinese history & modern whimsey.
